However not today I’m going to give you 4 tips to help you create awesome site content.
Make Sure You Did Steps 1-4 First
If you haven’t done Steps:
Just click on the steps you haven’t done above before moving on to Step 5: Create Content: High Quality For Your Site.
Creating High Quality Site Content
Best Part Of A Website
This is; in my opinion; the best part of having a website, you get to create content: high quality enough that not only engages your visitors & gives them what they want. You get engagement through their comments, suggestions, or even reviews from them on their blogs, sites etc.
In Need A ‘Creating Content’ Strategy?
Creating content that is engaging can be challenging at times and in fact is often where most people struggle. The reasons why people struggle are many, however some of the most common are:
- No Passion To Write
- “Needs To Have Keywords” Idea
- What length does it need to be?
- Writing looks and sounds ‘robotic’
Most people who struggle with content creation struggle because they are in need a creating content strategy. Without a sound strategy for creating content you will never be the success that that could be.
I Have Tips To Help You
With those reasons in mind & more I have created 4 tips below to help you get the creative juices flowing so you can be able to write awesome, amazing site content that will keep your visitors engaged and happy. This four tips will also help you to begin building a strategy for creating engaging content.
4 Tips To Creating Amazing Site Content
Tip 1: Create Content That’s Conversational
Pretend You’re Having A Conversation
This is the 1st tip for a good reason; because content should be written similar to how people talk to each other. If the content sounds like a person is talking to you like:
‘Hey guys check out the post below I did a top 5 ways Fear The Walking Dead is awesome.‘.
It’s a lot funner and easier to read then saying ‘4 Ways FTWD Is Outstanding’. That kinda sounds robotic to me at least.
Read Your Content Out Loud
Read your content out loud and you will quickly be able to spot material that sounds ‘robotic’ and it will also help you to tailor the content to how you speak. By simply reading your content out loud you are not only proof reading, you are also crafting content that is actually conversational.
Excellent Part Of Creating Content Strategy
Making your content sound conversational will help to engage more of your readers. Also reading out loud the content could be useful when finding out the ‘content’s flow’ pattern, how it sounds basically.
Tip 2: Separate Your Material With ‘Mini Headlines’
Think Of Content Like A Newspaper
Think of your content like a newspaper, rather in print or online. In the newspaper there are BIG headlines and ‘mini headlines’ that separate the information. Making it easier to read and understand. Knowing this..
Separate Ideas, Avoid Word MONSTERs
Try separating your ideas & information by inserting ‘mini headlines’ every three to four sentences. People who visit your site are not there to read a 1,400 ‘word monster’. They are there to get something rather informational, product-based etc and they will leave if they see a ‘word monster’!
Helps Prepare Reader & Adds Trust
By simply adding these ‘mini headlines’ you do 3 things.
- Prepare the reader for what comes next. Which..
- Creates trust from the reader. Which..
- Makes them want to stay on your site longer.
Tip 3: Ignore The ‘Keyword’ Method
It’s Not About The Keywords
This tip is applies to everyone; rather a newbie or advanced; and expands on the 1st tip. Affiliate Marketing ‘gurus’ out there will tell you ‘it’s all about keywords’. That’s not true and in fact you can be ranked lower for ‘keyword stuffing’.
Keyword Stuffing
Let’s say you have a niche about The Walking Dead. Well if every sentence contained one of the following words ‘Walking Dead’, ‘TWD’, or ‘The Walking Dead’ it would not sound conversational, it would sound robotic and it’s called Keyword Stuffing.
Stuffing Leads To Lower Rankings
If your content is ‘stuffed’ with keywords Google will not rank it high because Google KNOWS the difference between conversation and ‘keyword stuffing’.
Keyword Stuffing is a Black Hat Technique that will lead to lower rankings and you must never use it.
To learn more techniques never to use please read my article ‘SEO Black Hat Techniques‘.
Use The Keywords How You Would in Conversation
If you use the keywords like you would in conversation, that changes things, as long as you use them now and then. Focus on making the content conversational first and foremost, worry about keywords later.
Conversational Keyword Example
So back to TWD example:
‘Hey guys you see the latest dead episode? If you did then you need to read my 10 Ways The Last TWD Episode Was Ballin‘
See how that sounds, conversational because it was written for dead fans, not to rank.
Tip 4: Take Breaks If Stuck
Writing Content Should Be Fun & Enjoyable
Writing content for your site should be fun and enjoyable, not robotic and forced. If you feel like you’re ‘running on empty’ just stop. You can always come back to it when you feel like it. People can tell when material is forced and robotic and that leads to people leaving your site: NOT GOOD.
Take A Break Every Half Hour
This is a great rule to use when writing content for your site. Taking a break every half hour or so allows you to ‘walk away’ for it and go to other things. However if you are ‘on a roll’ feel free to keep going, but once that roll grinds to a walk take a break.
Alot Of Ideas Come When Not Writing
This si the biggest reason why I say take a break every half hour or so. You could be stuck on something and then when you are ‘taking a break’. During the break an idea not only comes to you, it’s so good that the article needs to be completely rewritten to fit it. That has happened to me and it could happen to you.
